New Year, New Opportunities

While we can (and should!) re-evaluate our lives at any point that feels right, there is something energizing about reflecting and recommitting to our wellbeing in January.

Although it can be tempting to dive in and create new goals, consider taking a step back from goal-setting and get clear on what is missing from your life.

In the excitement to build momentum, this reflection step is often glossed over and it can be the difference between meaningful growth and watching your goals fizzle out by spring.

James Clear refers to this deep knowledge as your 'North Star'. Stripping away all the noise of social media and our modern culture and constructs - what matters to you most and why?

Think about a wildly successful business - they have a strong brand and clear strategic objectives that are broadly communicated prior to setting annual goals or targets. Every action lines up with the long term vision. Sound familiar? Now, ask yourself: have you taken the time to unpack what really drives your happiness?

If you need some direction to start your deeper self-discovery but you don't work with a coach, check out this free survey through the VIA Institute on Character.

This tool highlights your top character strengths—qualities like kindness, creativity, perseverance, or leadership. Research shows that using your strengths boosts well-being, making this a great way to align your goals with who you are at your core. This sets a strong foundation for more authentic and lasting change.

Once you take the survey, I’d love to hear:

1. What are your top 3 character strengths?

2. Did these spark any insights or serve as a helpful reminder of what matters most to you?

Here's to growth, alignment, and flourishing!
